Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1996 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. The singer has released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway with her voice, has given it some more recognition. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano in her basement and bewildered by the sound it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music more as a hobby than a profession. She began writing songs of her own. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an affinity for Bjork's style. The singer decided to perform the songs she wrote publicly after her mom suggested they might help others not gain acclaim for her music, but rather to help the people around them understand their importance and the ways they can affect the world. The piano was first played by her when she was six years old and was writing her first song by the time she was nine. Her family didn't have any idea until she was 14. Aurora was not a goal. She says she just likes creating music. According to her, she believes that music can help people feel more relaxed.
